Let’s celebrate and honor the lives of our loved ones who have passed, at Mexican Fiesta’s Community Altar.
Milwaukee, Wisconsin (October 20, 2020) – As the Day of Dead ‘Día de Los Muertos’ approaches, the Wisconsin Hispanic Scholarship Foundation, Inc/Mexican Fiesta would like to invite the community to celebrate and honor the lives of loved ones who have passed with a Community Altar (largest altar in the state).
Día de Los Muertos is a holiday for remembering and honoring those who have passed. It is a festive, joyous time of celebration. As the official date for this celebration is November 2, the Community Altar will be open from 3:00 pm to 6:00 pm starting on November 2 through the 6 at Flores Hall 2997 S 20th St, Milwaukee, WI 53215.
Visitors are welcome to bring a small offering and photograph of their loved one. Offering and photo will be on display during that time and will be available for pick up the following week.
As part of the Día de Los Muertos celebration, WHSF/Mexican Fiesta is hosting a Catrinas Contest, if you would like to participate please see rules below. All participants will receive a voucher for a FREE ticket to Mexican Fiesta 2021.

KIDS 2-12 years old
GENERAL 13 years old and up.
Makeup must contain cultural elements. No spider webs, blood or scary items.
Clothes must be appropriate for the contest.
